Working for over 40 years in the photo industry, the photo designers Margot and Gero Kahlbrandt approached me to redesign their corporate identity. The key idea of the new design was to implement the idea of a large-format camera, where the image appears upside down.

A private commission to showcase housing as a fundamental human need, as a place to live and to develop your own needs.
So how do people design a place of only 30 square meters?
This was the key idea of „30m2 Individualität“. The Falkenried-Terrassen in Hamburg, Germany and their inhabitants are the perfect example of how people develop their personality in small spaces. The book focuses on the individual stories of people and their creative development of housing. Every individual only has 30 square meters for designing their needs.
Built in 1900, the Falkenried-Terrassen deliver information of contemporary German history. Today they are owned and managed by the tenants and classified as historical monuments.
A typographical orchestration ofcontemporary detective fiction.
The book is designed through the eyes of Jean-Baptiste Adamsbergs, a policeman investigating blue chalk circles that appear overnight on the pavements of Paris.
The typographically effects and haptics underline the character and the book’s notebook-style design.

Gefährten & Konsorten
We created the brand for the restaurant „Gefährten & Konsorten“ to visualise a modern way of getting together. Living in a modern contemporary society, the focus on socialising increasingly fades into the background. Our idea was to combine new and old values of the brand to create a new feeling of coming together and enjoying a proper German dinner together. Gefährten & Konsorten is more than a restaurant: It is a young German lifestyle.

MODEON – THE HOME OF CINEMA
Modern cinemas are not appealing to the broad masses anymore. The main cause is a weak understanding forprice-performance ratios. Through an appropriate communication of service spectrum ranges as well as the design of the perfect cinema atmosphere, customers will understand the value of a visit to the cinemas. It will be a quality experience.

I was approached to do the branding for Canyon Detectives. The design had to be modern and unique but closely enough related to one of the oldest industries, “private investigation”.
